FRONT 9
HOLE 1 (par 4)
|
Heading south now over the hill with a downhill run to the green.
|

HOLE 2 (par 3)
|
A long par 3 with a raised green and some trees to trap those who stray left or right with their shot off the tee.
|

HOLE 3 (par 4)
|
A short par 4 with a fairway bunker plus deep bunkers on either side of the green with the approach sloping to both.
|
|
hole 4 (par 4)
|
The number one stroke hole, a long par 4 dog leg with trees to the right to catch those who cut the corner. An uphill approach to the sloping green.

|
hole 5 (par 5)
|
Par 5 dogleg right with a nasty slope to catch your drive if not well positioned. A couple of large pine trees on the right and once around the corner there are fairway bunkers to the right and pohutukawas to the left – spectacular over the summer with their crimson colour.

hole 6 (par 4)
|
A short dogleg right where the long hitters can take on the large old pines and go straight for the green. A drag to the left however will land you lost in the dunes.

hole 7 (par 3)
|
A straight par 3 with an uphill green and a narrow approach.
|
|
hole 8 (par 5)
|
A long par 5 up the southern boundary with a shallow bunker to the front right of the relatively flat green.
|
|
hole 9 (par 4)
|
A large lone pine can catch an errant tee shot and once past this a shot into the sloping green will come back to meet you if not sufficiently bold. Depending on your angle, this can also spin back into the deep bunker located front left of the green.

BACK 9
HOLE 10 (par 4)
|
A straightforward par 4 to begin with the occasional big hitter driving at the green taking care not to overshoot into the lake. For the regular golfer a nice drive to centre fairway avoiding the fairway bunkers left and right followed by a straight second shot to the green which is protected by bunkers on the left.

HOLE 11 (par 4)
|
From the back tees the first challenge is to make it over the lake to a relatively small landing zone with trees to the left and the dunes to the right. A long par 4 slightly dog leg to the left with a testing two tiered green. Nesting sea birds are often a feature on these holes adjacent to the beach and need to be shown due consideration.

Hole 12 (par 5)
|
When on the back tees, make sure you turn towards the ocean to take in the expansive views of the breakers up and down the beach. This fairway heads back up away from the sea, a dog leg to the right with a sheltered flat green not too far from the boundary fence and out of bounds.

HOLE 13 (par 3)
|
A short par 3 across a grassed gully. Not too many challenges here unless the wind is blowing full strength from the west.

HOLE 14 (par 5)
|
A long drive from an elevated tee back down towards the view. The green is protected by 2 deep pot bunkers on the left and a shallow bunker to the back.

HOLE 15 (par 4)
|
A straight shot up the hill to an elevate green with bunkers left and right. Can be a long hole in a westerly wind.

hole 16 (par 4)
|
As the most elevated tee on the course, take a minute to enjoy the spectacular panoramic view before slamming a drive straight down towards the ocean. A fairway bunker to the left and bunkers to the front right and back left of the green.

hole 17 (par 3)
|
This challenging par 3 is the 17th hole in the new layout, although relatively short it features a water hazard on the left and a large undulating green surrounded by dune grasses.

hole 18 (par 4)
|
A steady climb back to the clubhouse with a tiered green protected by deep pot bunkers left and right and out of bounds behind the green. Time to pull out your best chipping and putting on this most challenging green, with a regular gallery enjoying their refreshments on the clubhouse deck.
