course layout

FRONT 9

HOLE 1 (par 5)

A good starting hole to ease you into your round. A straight hole with a generous fairway. There is a lake on the right 230m from the tee to catch the slice and a smaller one on the left that can come into play with the second shot. The pin is often at the front of the green sandwiched between two bunkers.
图片

HOLE 2 (par 4)

A tight driving hole with out of bounds on the right and trees guarding the left. A nicely contoured green is guarded by two bunkers that challenge your approach. Par is always a good score on this hole.
图片

HOLE 3 (par3)

A short hole that is well guarded by bunkers left, right and in front. Looks easy but don't underestimate it. A well struck shot can set up a birdie.
图片

hole 4 (par 4)

Generally plays down wind and a good tee shot can set you up for a birdie. However the fairway is protected by large trees that can punish an offline shot.
图片

hole 5 (par 4)

Out of bounds on the left but lots of room to the right. The green is long and narrow and requires an accurate iron shot. Be careful with your club selection as the length of the green can affect the choice of club.
图片

hole 6 (par 4)

A straight hole that generally plays into the wind. A wide fairway offers plenty of room for the tee shot. Requires two well struck shots to reach the green which has a lake close behind it.
图片

hole 7 (par 3)

A very good par 3 requiring a well struck tee shot. The green is protected in the front right by a deep bunker. If playing to the left beware of the false front to the green which can affect the choice of club.
图片

hole 8 (par 4)

Place your drive down the left and you can pick up some extra distance. The green is well defended by bunkers and is subtly contoured.
图片

hole 9 (par 4)

A dog leg left with a pond on the left. A steep bank on the left is best avoided. This hole provides the first glimpse of the scenic part of the course.
图片

BACK 9

HOLE 10 (par 3)

A tough down hill par 3 that provides a superb view of the upper harbour. Dolphins have been spotted in this area. A small gazebo provides a sheltered spot to sit and enjoy the view on those occasions when there is a delay in play.
图片

HOLE 11 (par 3)

Known as the "Devils Elbow" this hole provides an unusual test. A right hand dog leg to an elevated and well protected green. Offers the choice of playing an iron shot off the tee and laying up or gambling with a blind tee shot over the corner that can shorten the hole but can also punish a less than well stuck shot. Par is a welcome score on this hole.
Picture

Hole 12 (par 4)

An excellent "short hole" that provides a risk and reward challenge. The green can be driven but with out of bounds on the left and back and a rough area short of the green a slightly off line shot will be punished. Another option is to lay up to the right leaving a short pitch into the green.
Picture

HOLE 13 (par 4)

A tough par 4 requiring an up hill tee shot played over a lake, out of bounds on the left The green is well defended in front by a deep bunker. A bail out area to the right offers a chance to salvage par with a chip and a putt.
图片

HOLE 14 (par 4)

A short par 4 to a well bunkered green. The green slopes left to right and this affects the placement of the second shot.
图片

HOLE 15 (par 4)

A dog leg left that requires a tight up hill drive. The second is down hill to a green that slopes away from the fairway. Be careful of the bunker on the right as it regularly catches shots hit slightly right of centre.
图片

hole 16 (par 3)

A short par 3 out of bounds on the left the contoured green is well defended by several bunkers. The hole yields up lots of birdies but can also punish a shot hit to the wrong part of the green.
图片

hole 17 (par 4)

Generally played into the wind this hole rewards a well struck tee shot with a down hill slope that provides extra distance. Second shot is played to an elevated green. Take enough club.
图片

hole 18 (par 5)

An excellent finishing hole. This is a very strategic par 5. The hole requires a tight tee shot played between a lake on the right and out of bounds on the left. Two fairway bunkers on the left challenge the second shot. With a narrow opening to the green protected at the front by bunkers A great finish to the round. Accuracy is a must.
